Jeff,
The thing you are talking about is held on one side by a sort of hose clamp (easy to remove) and the other side is held on by a pin. This pin can be easy to remove, or a complete horror. In my case, it was quite awful. I don't think I could have gotten it off had the engine/transmission been sitting on my garage floor. Took me like 2 hours with it sitting outside the car... The only thing that worked was a propane torch and vise grips on the pin (verrry tight) and rotating the pin.
Search the archives, you will find other advise on how to get it out if it gives you difficulty. One problem is that the steering rack sits right under it so that is kind of in the way.
As for where to get it, I havent seen it advertised on the site sponsor websites. Just make sure that wherever you get it from, you get the right length. The one on '85s was different from '87 (the '85 one is like 1.5 inches longer). So maybe it differed for other years as well. The linkage won't reach together obviously if the connector thing isnt the right length.
