From my experience with similar symptoms on a 82T, I suggest you look at electric connections and wiring. The multi-pin plug connection below the fusebox which connects to the car interior is prone to failure. And even the fusebox itself. Depending upon how the fuse sockets are wired, they may have come loose beneath the surface. Same thing for relay connections. Could also be wiring connections on the distributor.
