The woes of installing a new stereo in my 93 900T - CE were real, but you guys saved me from having a much harsher time. I've read at least 100 posts and between Crutchfield and info from you all on installing front & rear speakers, bypassing the amp options (DIN vs New cabling), and finally, the icing on the cake was investigation of the "illumination wire". Crutchfield told me the unit would not dim (Heidelberg CS51) I was going to return it, but after reading your advice (JustinVA's in particular in many of these cases) I'm on my final leg of the install. If I can get a fuse tap and get this bright blue blaupunkt glow off of my dash at night I'll be a happy camper. (On another note, I also I finally got the A/C to quit dripping on my foot.)

I can't thank you all enough. I adore this BB site and your generosity with your time and advice almost as much as the car. And while we don't all actively participate in conversation, there are many of us who actively use what you post.

On to gear knob replacement, missing horn button, and getting the headliner back on the ceiling. Hopefully my questions won't annoy you all...
