That reminds me of some Robert Boschisms I had with my old (220K at the time) brick-shaped-study-in-automotive-safety. Although they are different cars, the Bosch CI is pretty uniform when comparing major parts.
Here were my problems:
1. Leaking fuel line
2. Clogged fuel injectors
3. Pinhole leak in air metering boot
4. Bad intake manifold gasket
CI injectors have to close themselves off; if they do not you will get a rich situation. A steady diet of FI cleaner kept it mostly under control, but then it started up again and wouldn't quit.
The intake gasket only showed itself when warm.
The other bits made me feel like the system was vapor-locked: someone was switching the fuel supply on and off at cruise or accelerating and it was sluggish.
I hope this helps. I have no experience with turbos yet.
