I recently picked up a set of spec NGK's from sobstory and was waiting to put them in to replace Bosch Plat 4s. I know its been forever since I replaced them. Here's my history on a 92 900S non turbo, I just looked it up:

Installed Bosch Plat +4s at 63,000 miles.
No problems, but replaced (+4s again) as a routine at 90,090
No problems again, but replaced (+4s again) as a routine at 115,260

Now it gets interesting, and even I'm surprised.

I just realized that the car now has 187,000 miles on it and I have not changed the plugs since 115,000 miles. Thats 72,000 miles. I know this as I saved the plugs and wrote the mileage and dates on the boxes (hey, that's just me - what's in YOUR garage?) and in the log I keep in the back of my Bentley, so I'm not missing any replacements.

The car gets 20 mpg around town, 29 average highway. It always starts on the third rev of the crank, hot summer or cold winter. It gets extremely low emissions (per permissable ranges) on its NYS inspection. I didn't intend for them to stay in this long.....but if its working then I leave it alone. I find this car to be more sensitive to a fresh cap and rotor than (platinum) plugs.

I am tempted to pull these plugs tonight and see if it runs differently on the NGKs. But the length of time these things have been in is consistent with manufacturers specing 100,000 replacements for platinum plugs. In my experience they are worth the money as everytime you don't have to pull a plug you are passing up on a chance to need a helicoil. I would replace them every 30,000 miles if I was going to keep using them, but this car is getting up there so I'm cutting back a little. i may switch back when the NGK's wear out.

I do not recommend them for turbo C900s as I have no experience with them and I only use the spec NGK with my DI equipped 9000, I would never use Bosch Platinums with a DI cassette due to its intrinsic design.

Hope this helps.
