I'm a Saab buff and have owned and loved several. In addition I'm a car dealer and buy Saabs when ever I find nice ones. In the last couple of months I've had a 92 9000T and two 91 900T convertibles to drive and liked them, but never considered the possibliltiy of NOT selling them. And then I happened to run acrossed this 84 900 turbo (automatic no less) with 93,000 miles that was owned by the same lady for 16 years and I'm in love. There is just something elemental about this car that seems to appeal to me, it seems so much simpler and basic than newer Saabs. So I gave it the ultimate test, I took my wife for a ride in it. Nobody loves fine cars more than my wife does, but nobody is more critical than she is either. No flaw gets by her. So I take her for a ride and she says, out of the blue, "I really like this car, I don't think we should sell it--let's keep this one." In the last six months we've had an Audi A4 and Quattro V8, a '96 Volvo 850 GLT, a Mercedes 260E, just to give you an idea, and she picks them apart. What gives?
