unfortunately, you have just learned firsthand what happens when you drive a car with a ton of toe-in. when you lower a car, not only do you add negative camber, but you also add toe-in. camber changes don't affect tire wear as quickly as incorrect toe settings.
incorrect toe kills tires fast...
if for some reason the upper balljoints are shorter than the lowers, then that would add even more negative camber (& hence more toe-in).
take your car to a c900-knowledgeable shop and have them set up the front end with -1 degree camber, max spec caster, and just a touch of toe-in. this will correct your current problems, eliminate the classic outer tire wear endemic to c900s, and give you sportier handling. should cost around $100 for the full meal deal. be certain the shop knows c900s...
--> if you are changing springs, get a full (camber/caster/toe) alignment soon afterward. if changing just ball joints, eh, your call; you'll prolly affect things a bit. if changing tie rod ends, get the toe re-set for sure.
