you have engine pinging at that level of octane. You have to go as high as possible to avoid engine ping, and that's the level you should use. Anything higher, and you're wasting $$ that could be spent on better things (suspension, lighting, tires, etc.).
If you had a turbo, then you should use the highest octane available to gain the most boost possible. The downside to this is that mpg's suffer. More boost = lower mpg's, and vice versa.
