Oil exiting valve cover

My ’90 TC, for as long as I’ve owned it (2.5 years), pushes oil out of the valve cover bypass hose, through the check valve, and into the intake. It is not a whole lot, (no blue exhaust) but enough to soften up the hoses in a few months from the oil bath.
Other pertinent details: Distributor cap does not get oil inside except for a drop or two over 3 months. Car idles fine, ~800 plus or minus. No froth in coolant tank, no water in oil. Check valve is installed as I believe it should—Allows vacuum to pull from valve cover, blocks pressure into the valve cover. (Arrow on valve points toward manifold). Passes Virginia Emissions, however hard that is for a C900 turbo. Oh yeah, 166K on the clock, but the odo only works when it wants to : >)
Is this just a symptom of a tired engine with blow-by? Any other ideas or suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Joe
