Hi Joe98,
Here are both the Bentley Manual's specs & what I got when I ohmed out my new Bougicords for my '90:
The Bentley listed ohms are:
Coil wire: 500-1500
Plug wires: 2000-3000
My new wires ohmed at:
Coil wire: 2140
Plug wire #4: 1650
Plug wire #3: 2400
Plug wire #2: 2660
Plug wire #1: 3410
The coil wire was significantly longer than the original I replaced, so that would explain its slightly higer-than-spec resistance. As for the others, several folks here told me the manual's specs usually don't match new wires exactly, & that these numbers looked good.
Are you having ignition problems? How old do your wires look? Mine looked OK (no cracks or frays), but they also looked like 14yr-old original wires (aged/discolored & stiff). They all ohmed similarly to yours, but I knew they were at least 4yrs old (since I'd had the car that long) & I was having other electrical problems so I decided to replace them anyway.
I don't know if all this info helps or not. If you're simply trying to "clean up" the ignition system, I'd say replacing the wires couldn't hurt.
