I'll fill you in with the little information I have gathered.

In 1993 Saab built a Commemorative Edition 3DHB. Supposedly one was built for each dealer in the US. I'm not sure on the exact numbers but it was somewhere between 350 and 400. Each of these cars had a plaque on the console indicating it's unique build number in the series. They were all black with charcoal interior, 185hp (instead of the usual 165), 5-speed manual turbos. I don't believe they had spg cladding (I could be wrong on this), but they did have all the other spg ammenities.

In 1994 Sabb built a Commemorative Edition Convertible under the same circumstances. I believe the build numbers were similar to the '93 3DHB. The convertibles did not come with the plaques indicating their unique build numbers however. The differences in the convertible which made it truley unique: Nova black paint (black metallic) the only Saab ever painted this color. Tan top. Charcoal metallic directional alloy wheels with stock silver wheel center caps. Walnut burl dash. Tan leather interior with charcoal piping. Leather gear shift boot (some have walnut gear knobs as well). 185hp 16v turbo motor. SPG package (again no body panels). Power heated seats. Clarion radio/cassette/CD/qualizer. Alarm system with remotes.

I own one of these convertibles. Odometer now reads 42,000mi. A real head turner. My mechanic owns #51 of the 3DHB Comm Eds.
