In the owner of an 82T. I went back and searched through your prior posts about this issue. I don't have anything new and insightful about your situation, but I do have a question about how you've addressed the vac leak issue. For instance, to check the intake manifold gasket for leaks, did you remove the manifold and replac the gasket? Have you checked every intake related component for vac leaks? Every single component that attaches to the intake chain can and will eventually develop a leak. If you did check, how? In my case I checked the old fashioned way, by removing, cleaning, examining, then blowing air with my lips wrapped tightly around the port. In the case of the aux air valve and the AC idle valve I had to close off all but one port with my thumb or fingers and blow air into the free port. Those two units alone had vac leaks, as did the vac advance on the distributor, the vacuum bottle cap, as well as the pressure boost switch. Then there were the injector seals, the intake manifold grommets - all loose. Having fixed all those vac leaks and kept up on basic maintenance (spark plugs, O2 sensor, oil change, distributor cap, timing), this 200K plus milage operates according to spec, passes all smog tests, has normal gas milage.
Additionally, I also inspected and replaced questionable injector valves, and replaced the warm-up regulator with a good used one - and not because it needed one, but because it was more shiny, LOL. There was no difference in the operation between the two, so I assume the original was fine. I still have it as back-up if necessary.
Have you considered taking the car to a SAAB service center that can do some of the diagnostics you can't do by yourself? Perhaps a fuel pressure/control pressure system test will turn up something. Good luck.
