What is the minimum clutch plate thickness?

87 900 spg - slave failed, would like to replace it alone, but how thin is too thin on the clutch plate. at the time of failure clutch had no slippage, slave just lost pressure. could the clutch plate being too worn cause the slave to fail because of over extension? pressure plate seems fine as well. thanks for any input.
