time to check the wires that Tom mentioned. Just ahed of the driver's door post you will see the wiring for the driver window and the door lock switch. The insulation gets crumbly. Also this is where to check for power.
The 3 wire connector is for the door locks. Jump the center to the outside wires alternately and the door lock motors in the passenger side and hatch should operate. If so, the problem is in the driver door switch or its wiring. If not, then you have to check the lock control box, which is located on the upper side of the air duct under the passenger dash. This controller can often be repaired by soldering in a jumper wire to bypass a bad circuit board path. If you pull the cover off the controller, you should be able to see the bad circuit path.
The two wire connector ahead of the door is for the windows. When the console switch is actuated, you should get battery voltage across the terminals. If so, the problem is in the door motor or wiring to it. If not, the problem is back at the switch. Unplug the switch and see if you get power between the hot wire and ground. Not sure of the color of hot wire, but only one wire to the switch will have power. If power, then you've bodged the switch somehow. If no power, then check the wiring to the switch. Start up under the fuses to the bulkhead connector. If OK, then you have to work back from the switch(pita, because you have to pull the driver seat and peel back the carpet.
Oh yeah, check for power at fuse. If none, connector may have broken udner fuse panel.
