I just purchased the same exact car, and I have the same problem with the same window, as far as it not working properly.
I removed the switchpack, and disassembled it. You have to be careful when removing the top portion of it (the part that has the buttons), since there are numerous little brass pieces that will fall out. Not to worry, though, because you can put them back in (making sure the cut-outs on either side of the brass pieces fit into the "teeth" of the spot where they fell out of--you'll know what I mean when you see it).
I noticed that the contact spots are all black with soot (probably from the electricity running though it), so I am going to clean it up tonight. I'm assuming this is the problem since the rear pass. window goes down, but then I have to play with the switch to get it to come back up.

BTW: don't know what to do about the rubber issue...
