Chattering APC & Base Boost, Part III.

A couple of weeks ago, I'm driving on the 101 freeway in my '83 900T just past Woodland hills and start climbing. I've been having trouble with my APC control and been getting only base boost. Examined the APC solenoid ala SaabMaster and it checks out fine.
Anyway, I start climbing the hill and nail the car in fifth just to see what will happen. Sure enough, the boost starts coming on for the first time in weeks. I got 2/3 yellow which is usually all I normally get with the locally available 91 octane premium. I saw the boost gauge fluctuate at max, which was probably my knock sensor modulating the waste gate.
Later I tried doing it again but no joy. I try at different spots everyday but still no joy. Two weeks later, I find myself in the same spot on the 101 and hit the gas. Everything works as it should. Later I cannot reproduce it. So now I'm wondering if I should move to Woodland hills. :)
I have yet to test the pressure transducer or the APC brain. I'm wondering if I'm getting some RF through the knock sensor wire. How common is that?
