So long as you are not getting a pulsation/vibration when braking, indicating warped rotors, all you probably need are new pads. You can get top quality pads front and rear for about $60 total. If you can jack up the wheel and remove the tire, you 've done the hardest part.
For the front you ue a 13mm wrench on the caliper slide pin while holding the locknut with a 15mm wrench. Lift off top of caliper and pads will come right out. Press back the piston with a big pliers. Pop in the new pads and reassemble. Takes 5 minutes once wheel is off.
The rear is also easy, but you will need a set of metric allen wrenches. Again jack up a corner and remove the wheel. Pull off the rubber caps that cover the caliper bolts. Remove the bolts with allen wrench(7mm??). Pop off the retaining spring with a screwdriver and lift off the caliper and remove the pads. Now remove the large bolt on the back of the caliper to uncover a small allen adjusting screw(4mm??) and gently back out the allen screw until it stops. press back the piston with a pliers and then put in the new pads and rebolt the caliper piece and put the retaining spring back on. Last step is to gently tighten that same allen screw until it stops and then back it out 1/2 turn so that the rotor turns. Put the cover bolt back over this adjusting screw, put the wheel back on and you're all set. Back wheels take about 10 minutes each because of the adjusting screw step.
