In my 87 the wiring in the drivers side front fender was so badly corroded, I was getting locking/unlocking when I closed the door because the bare wires were touching and grounding out the door locking module. I don't know if you could be getting power from another circuit in this area if bare wires are contacting another hot circuit there...and not showing draw on 24? HTH.
