According to the Bentley, the placement of rear brake pad shims is important. I just did my rear brakes & did not remove any shims. Did the previous owner toss them? Are they important or not?
btw Replacing the pads & having the rotors turned was a piece of cake. I did it in two half hour increments. I went with PBR deluxe as I can't stand the sound of metallic pads. I like a softer pad.
