Most of the ones on saabs do not hoot because they are not releasing to atmosphere. I can barley here my forge, but if it's gone bad I would think that it would hoot louder?? Mine has more of a whooosh sound if that helps. If yours is bad, your car car will almost stall when coming to a stop-if realy bad.
