I have Dunlop Sport A-2s on my 9000 CS and have been very happy with them in the rain and of course, dry pavement. I have not been in snow with them yet but others said the were a good all season choice. Not sure if they are the best choice for heavy snow in vermont.
I am considering switching out my Michelin MXV4 Energy on my 92 900S for the same Dunlops as the Michelins are 2/3rds worn and are not as effective in the rain anymore and winter is coming so forget snow at this point in there life. I know as its the 4th set of MXVs on my cars over the years, my cheif complaint is that they are very expensive (about $148 each) and get hard as a rock with age, destroying the cars ride quality. Preferred size is 190-60 15, these will handle better than the optional 195-65 15. (Thats Width, Sidewall height or "road to rim as a % of width", and rim size).
Dunlop SportA 2s in 190-60-15 were $64 each plus $10 mounting and balancing at Mavis Discount Tire in Westchester County (Mt. Kisko is one hour north of NYC)last week, not sure if that price still holds. So that is about $305 all in, I believe. Sears was about $85 including mounting and balancing as were other dealers. There was no tire disposal fee on my last purchase, some chains charge that. That price was slightly less than the all in costs of buying the tires from Tire Rack, incurring shipping costs and paying someone to mount them.
Hope this helps. Maybe I'll see you at the Starbucks while you are waiting for your tires. Good luck
