I have an 85 turbo sedan. I don't know about compatability between 84 and 87, but I'd be surprised if they didn't fit.
I put a rear sway bar on my car and was extremely pleased with the result. I found installation to be pretty easy. You just need the longer bolts.
I never installed a front one, but I think you'll need to drill some holes to do so.
Almost as dramatic as the swaybar was when I got my car aligned to the specs outlined by gorper. You can do a search and read about other people's experience with the new specs. I requested almost zero toe-in and some negative .6 camber.
Don't get me wrong, the rear sway bar is a great improvement. I had a huge smile on my face the first time I took the car around a turn. But getting that new alignment made another dramatic difference that make the car corner much flatter. Of course, I don't have a front bar so I don't know what the car would be like with both a front and rear bar.
Enjoy!
