If you're lucky, a linkage rod may have come loose. I so, you'll need to locate the clip (or a replacement) to hold the linkage rod in place so it doesn't repeat.
Get out your Torx set and your Bentley manual. Open the door (from the outside). Remove inner door pull (1 screw). Remove inner door panel (2 screws at bottom, 4 screws at top). Remove white plastic liner from door (it used to be 1-piece; Get out your duct tape to reinstall it).
