only about 1 hour to adjust the chain.
You take the valve cover off and rotate the engine to TDC. Check the camshaft marks against cam bearing marks. If it's off, remove the tensioner and lift the chain over the sprockets to the right position. Install tensioner and rotate the engine a full turn to check that it ended up at the right place.
A Saab shop would probably charge between $60.00 to $100.00 to do it.
