1/2 my electrical system stopped working

Odd electrical problem with a ’90 Turbo Convertible, manual trans.
This problem started intermittently several months ago. Now I’ve had a nagging problem where half (most) of my electrical system doesn’t come alive when I start the car. Half the system used to fail then ‘pop’ on after a minute or two, then a couple to 10 minutes. Now my car has run for two days with only a partial electrical system.
Symptoms: At start-up, the following does NOT work:
Tach
Interior fan
Horn
Boost (APC?)
Power Windows
Conv. Top
Rear defrost
SRS light (& system?)
The following electrical systems do work
Radio
Door locks
HeadLights
Brake lights
Emergency flashers
Fuel and Temp Gauges
Idiot lights for ABS & handbrake
Car seems to run fine but only at base boost.
I have cleaned the easily accessible grounds like crossbar mount by the pass. side radiator. Also cleaned battery terminals, main positive connector on pass. fender wall.
Using the Bentley electrical chart I was not able to find a common electrical point of failure except the battery itself. I am frustrated.
Anyone seen this before of know what else to try? Some common fault, wire, relay? Thanks much!!
Joe
