Shakes & the cure - I hope...

1990 900i 16V, 210,000 mls. I've been having some front-end trouble for quite a while, but it's getting too much and I have to do something about it. The symptoms: car pulls a bit to the right from zero speed, doesn't get worse with more speed. A bit of torque to the left on upshifts. Steering wheel 'locks' on full turns. Vibrations starting around 65 mph and up and getting worse; worst around 70. I don't get over 75 anymore, I don't feel safe. Vibrations are felt in pedals, steering wheel and shifter. Accompanying sound is low rumble, pressure on the ears which makes long rides uncomfortable (I do 400+ miles a week). I noticed some play on the right inner driver, though truly I could not say too much or not.
Also the car shimmies and is hard to keep straight. So here's what I intend to do:
Change ball joints and tie rod ends, change right inner driver and tripod bearing (that means a tranny oil change too, that's not too bad). I think that should cover most. I'll have some a-arm bushings at hand, but frankly I rather wouldn't go into that. I don't have spring compressors for one thing. I think my CV joints are okey, but
who can tell? I'll have the car aligned after the operation plus two new tires. I have new pads and rotors 2000 miles ago, they look fine.
Some weekend ahead. Any remarks, suggestions, wise lessons, encouragement, headshakes dearly wellcome. Skip the tranny oil recommendations, I read enough about that.
Thanks all and have a nice weekend!
