For one, I like the assymetrical wheels, especially painted grey with the polished rim. SPG wheels are right up there with them.
Unless you're going for unmodified concours competition, get the wheels you like. And if your going for it, keep the original wheels for show.
On my '89 SPG, I've got a set of MSW polished spoke mags for looks, a set of SPG wheels for going to the SOC, and a set of 15-spoke wheels for driving around town. That's a bit on the obsessive side, but it's all for fun.
