If you have hard steering, drain and replace as well. The crap that comes out is nasty. Use cheap fluid for this and a turkey baster or mity vac. Suck it out, start car, turn steering wheel around, stop car, suck fluid out. Keep doing this until somewhat clean. You will not be able to get it perfect, but this helps a lot.
