You probably leaked soem oil on the exhaust when you changed the gasket, or, you have a bad seal, and are leaking. I am on my 4th gasket, can't seem to get it place right the first time.
Also, I didn't buy tyhe elring gasket, but a cheaper gasket from Eeuroparts. Th center bolt rings seemed to be pointed to the outside of the gasket, while the actual bolt holes are on the inside of the gasket. I had to twist these rings inside, putting a 180º bend in the gasket oring material. I feel this is now channeling the oil out of the head.
I'll try for a 5th time with an elring gasket
