Just want to share my first experience working on my first saab--had no crank--Checked out the wiring,ground cables,etc-was a bad starter-bought one for 129.00 from FCP Groton and installed it today--kinda awkward to get in there--ground a 16mm socket wall down to get it to slip on the one nut that is tight-not to bad a job to install.I had bought the car as is and not running from the orig owner. The car is rust free except for the side hood edge which I see to be a common problem on the 900 cars. Iv been driving volvos for the past 15 yrs and must say--this old car is fun to work on and a good lookig car with the rear spoiler and being a 2 dr hatchback-hope to drive the hell out of it and enjoy the other car from sweden--my volvo friends ar worried about me. Thanks to all who gave me tips
