Did they say which 2 sensors? Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Wed, 26 Nov 2003 21:02:05 In Reply to: ABS Speed Sensors, Dirk, Wed, 26 Nov 2003 18:30:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If the fault code is for both rear sensors I would think the code might have been triggered by a smog check. Do they have the rolling test bench test where you live?
The ABS sensors on the 900 model is very sturdy and I have yet to see one go bad, compared to the early 9000 model where the left/right front sensor goes bad all the time due to wrong routing of the cable.
Did the shop test each sensor to see if they did send a signal to computer or did they only go by the fault codes generated?
Before selling two wheel sensors to a customer for a car model where they pretty much never breaks I would make sure that they are infact at fault first.
It could be the ABS computer itself that have gone bad. I have seen that before.
