Yeah, I know. But I bought the car when it was at a crucial point in its life at 80K miles. It has been in Massachusetts all it's life and it is catching up with it and when I bought it I wasn't much of a car person so I really didn't know where to catch and stop rust....which has definately changed now. I've had it for almost 6 years now and I've just settled on the fact that it is a winter car now and not much more than a good looking beater. Looking at it you would never see any rust from the outside but...I've also got to get the infamous lower right A-arm area welded up again also.
The convertible on the other hand was brought up from Florida and is rust free and will stay that way because it stays off the road in winter and the '00 is new enough for me to keep rust free because I know how to better care for a car now.
Anyway...hopefully will be relocating in the next year closer to home (Virginia) and I won't have to worry so much about car care in the winter time.
