Today on my way to work, I put it in 2nd, and was holding it hard around a corner, then the shifter just litterly FLEW out of my hand, so I drove the rest of today going 1st, 3rd, 4th...because thats all that works. Tonight on my way home from work, I cant even hit 2nd anymore. The gear is so worn that the teeth won't even catch. I checked oil *ok*, but it had a lot of metal shavings in it. 5th gear still will not go in! And now I have to put a LOT of pressure on the shifter to get it to go into 1st. I know that 2nd is gone, but could my 1st & 5th problems be shift linkage related? I am not driving it anymore untill I get it fixed, and I thank God that she brought me home tonight. Tranny will *hopefully* be replaced soon. SaabPilot has a spare 85 900T tranny sitting in his garage, so thats going on when I dont have to work 50 hours a week!
