There are spacers that fit between the coils to prop up the spring. Don't know how this would be a good thing, as the spring would seem to coil-bind too eisily with this arrangement. Old sagging springs should be replaced.
Lowering springs may bring the car too low for your taste or driving conditions. You can use a disc-type spacer to raise the ride height a little. Seems ok to use same thickness spacer on front & back to retain level ride height.
Just my 2 cents.
