Well, a week ago I blew the tranny on my beloved '89 900s 4 door. It only had 142,000 miles on it and still pulled great through all gears. Being the bone head that I can be, I accidently dropped the clutch while in reverse and the brake fully depressed. Needless to say, I destroyed the gears and cracked the case. Well, from death comes life, and now I have a '88 900 3Door. I do miss the 16v engine. Even though this new car only has 70,000 miles, it doesn't have near the power Bernice had (the dead SAAB). So I am going to salvage what I can off of the dead car to fit on the new. I am hoping to take the battery, some mirrors. The lights are gonna have to go too. Also I will take my stereo out as I had forgotten after 5 years without it how poor the factory set up is. Maybe I will rebuild the dead car's engine and fit it into the new car. Oh well, just thought you folks out there would care. Happy SAABing.
