I have a set of fully reconditioned 16" aero rims that I would like to put on my '88 spg. One guy suggested that I go with 195 45 R16s, but this led me to think that these tires would be pretty short. I went to Sears today to fish around and they came up with Sumitomo HTR ZII 205 50 16 (Z rated). The Sumitomo's are on sale right now @ $95.00 a piece.

My car has spg rims with Nokia Hakka snows on them right now. The tires and the rims are getting pretty tired (no pun intended), and one wheel has a slow leak that I can't track down. Initially, I was just going to mothball the aero rim project till spring, but given the condition of what's on there now, I'm inclined to revisit the issue sooner. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome...
