Well,
If bypassed what I believe to be the pressure transducer. There were 4 connections to vacuum lines under the knee board. Two were on a pedal each (brake and clutch) the other connection terminated at what looked like a pump. The last went through a round object bolted slightly above the afore mentioned 'pump.'
So I bypassed this and after warming up the car and reving the engine while cruising down the road, the turbo finally kicked in. Im pretty sure i got the transducer out of the equation because my PSI's were past 15. So the turbo did kick now past base boost, but still was hit and miss. I could come to a stop and then get back uo to high speed, but sometimes the higher boost just wasnt there.
I did secure the vacuum bushings on the intake maifold now, so thats out of the equation. For those of you that missed the previous thread heres a quick recap. I dont have high boost once the enginge gets into the green zone (warmed up.) I thought vacuum lines/clamps, but they all seem secure.
I do hear a significant hissing noise even though Im not sure its a hissing noise. Its always been there even when I used to hit 16PSI on the regular. It sounds like it comes from under where the intake manifold branches out into four fingers, midway between the throttle body and head cover I guess you could say, where there appears to be a 2" hose that contains coolant and air from part of the turbo ducting. Maybe this was always leaking and has developed into a bigger crack??? Are there any other vacuum connections Im missing other than the obvious 5/32 diameter tubing???
Incidently, i turned up "F" and "P" on the APC the other night to see if maybe that was part of the problem to no effect. But now, the few times my turbo has worked, it took a while to spool up. Does this make any sense?? Also, my APC valve doesnt chatter, but I hear it click when I hit the brake, I'm guessing that it means it's working in the correct way, right?

Really at wits end,

Chris
