I have a timing cover in my lap. There are 2 (slotted) bolt holes to the underside of the head, 7 on the side by the alternator (two of which are water pump bolts as well), 4 on the exhaust side and, on the bottom, the stud with nut and one other bolt up from the trans flange into the cover about in the middle off the flat segment at the bottom of the oil pump housing. You must remove the STUD that the nut was on, not just the nut as you can only remove the cover by sliding it straight rearwards off the dowels.
