...the problem may be that you're using the wrong size. Use 3.5mm I.D. hose. If you don't have access to metric sizes, get the next *smaller* standard size. If you go larger, then, well, they can blow off.
Another possibility is that the hose has gotten old & has become enlarged at the nipple but but hasn't yet cracked at the nipple, . Trim off 3/4" and stick it back on; you should be good to go. If it cracks when you put it back on, then it's a good time to replace hoses to vac adv/ret capsule, fpr, and hvac res. - 15' should be plenty. personally, i would leave the boost gauge line alone unless it's too far gone.
clean nipples of any oil/greasy gunk before fitting replacement hose.
Silicone is more esthetically pleasing than rubber. But rubber is perfectly adequate (can easily handle the boost/vacuum your car produces), lasts plenty long (I got 130K mi. from original set), costs less, and is readily available at any parts store. Rubber also *shrinks* when it's warm.
