Last night my son had our faithful 1984 Turbo parked at his cousin's house when a hit-and-run driver collided with it, contacting it above the front bumper and pushing it about two carlengths (yes, in reverse with the e-brake on). Radiator's smashed, hood's buckled, and.. here's the bad part... the driver's door won't open more than a few inches.
I've put a lot of personal sweat into keeping the old bucket going (rust repair, brakes). It was a good car despite having 225K on the odo. The AC even blew cool. I've had it since 1990 and I know the health of every part on it.
General advice needed here, guys. I'm still a bit dazed. If you were in my shoes, would you (a) try to fix it, (b) sell it cheap, or (c) part it out? Or (d) something I haven't thought of?
