For you, you need to get the window into the correct position. Then you need to open up the door pannel. There should be an adjustable "block" that you need to screw down to keep the window from rising too high.
As far as being too difficult to re-align my problem, I used to have a part interest in an auto interior shoppe. I was just hoping there was someone out there who might have advice so that I won't need to re-invent the wheel.
