I was wondering what you guys recommend for manual transmission fluid in a 1990 turbo. I live in Virginia, where the winter temps get to around 30 at night on average, and ususally around 40 during the day, with a few extremes down into the teens and 20's. Summertime tem's run in the 90's during the day, and 70's at nite. I do very little driving really, with an easy commute. My commute consists of a 6 mile highway run from my house to my shop, with only 2 traffic signals along the way.

For the Borg-warner T5 5 speed stickshift in my Chevy van, I use Mobil 1 Synthetic 75-W90. This seems to be the perfect juice for this big gutsy rear-drive transmission, since it's given me 10 years of reliable service with fast syncro action, no whine or other noises, and easy shifting. I have heard others have had good luck in various cars with Synthetic Dextron III.

Should I use any one of these in my SAAB? I've noticed the syncros seem to be a little slow in cold weather, and I'm thinking changing the type of fluid in there might clear this up a bit. (not sure what it is in there now, since I have never changed the fluid in it since I bought it this summer)
