Over New Year's, a celebrant apparently had some fun with my parked 900's side mirror and shattered the glass as well as tore the housing off the side of the car, so the housing is now hanging by what appears to be the cord powering either the mirror movement or the defrost. The only part that actually seems to be broken (other than the glass) is the metal hinge, which has a clean break. The defrost backing for the mirror is also fine, so I should be able to just glue another glass piece on. So, my questions are:
-Can I take apart the housing and sater the metal hinge back together (or use some other method to re-attach?)
-What model mirrors will fit my car--assuming I can find one at a junkyard? (1990 900S)
-What do people recommend for both the removal of the junkyard glass piece and also for the reattachment on my car?
Thanks much!
