Need Help I freezing and can't find where to look!!! Posted by Inga [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Ok I'm not sure if these issues are related or not. I can't seem to get my heater to work very well. It's been a lot colder here lately and I have my car running at the same time. (If only you knew) So the heater works but it barely gets warm. (Out of the vent.) I thought at first that it might be the thermostat knob not being hooked up in the dash but I fixed that and it didn't fix it. I don?t know where I should even begin to look. Would this be my heater core or something? In the past I could cook a turkey in the back seat. But now I could keep it frozen. I also think that there may be an issue with the 3rd knob. (To direct the airflow.) If I put the knob on ?max floor air? it doesn?t seem to blow like it should. Very low volume of air and cooler then the ?low air flow? setting.
Is this a common problem? I have always thought my Saab had the best heater out there. All my friends think the same!!! Used too??
At the same time I have noticed the car in general is running cooler. I used to run just above the white just inside the green. Now I stay just to the green mark. Now I have rebuild the front end in the last couple weeks, and I'm wondering it I got a couple wires mixed up or something. (When I say I rebuilt the front end I mean I pulled the lights, grill, intercooler, radiator, spoiler and even the bumper. I wanted the spoiler from my 4 dr. I hit too many curbs with the old one.) So did I swap the thermostat wires and maybe I?m running the water pump continually?? Could these problems be one of the same??
