I have a 1990 SPG. I am getting ready to sell. The SRS light has been blinking for months. My mechanic says it is the airbag warning and that there may be nothing wrong with it, it just has to be checked every 10 years and that is why the light has started blinking. However he tells me it will cost $250 just to find out!!! That is nuts so I have just let it go as the light doesnt bother me. Now that I am going to sell, are there legal issues with selling a car with the airbag light on? I live in Portland, OR. Should I contact the dept of Motor vehicles and ask them? Can I have the buyer sign a waiver that he understands the airbag may not be working? Anyone have any ideas on my options?

ps-let me know if you are interested...other than the airbag the car is in excellent shape!!
