trunk leak

Hi,
I am sure this has been discussed somewhere, sometime but I cannot find it. I have had water getting into my trunk for some time now. The car was recently in the body shop and some minor rust in the trunk was repaired. I thought that this would be the culprit for the water. However, my car has been sitting in front of the house for two days and it has been raining. I was suprised to find some water, not much on the right hand part of the floor. It seems like it is coming from the direction of where the sunroof motor is tucked in. I have noticed a plastic panel on the body under the bumper which is afixed to the body. What is this panel for?
I have checked my sunroof drains and they are fine. not clogged and in place.
I would appreciate all pointers and even some pictures as to where the problem might be and where exactly are all the dainage holes in the back part of the body.
Thanks in advance to all
Dusan
