You're scaring me (and other's too probably) with the mixed messages saying that the inner drivers are not attached, and in another post you say they are attached. Though I have not purchased a rebuilt tranny, I'm guessing that they can conceivably come with and without inner drivers and the differential ring gear already adjusted for bearing pre-load and backlash. The individual who purchases a tranny sans inner drivers would obviously need to have that adjustment step done correctly, either by themselves or a knowledgable mechanic. You also refer to an "inner hub." When discussing font drive train and wheel assemblies, the hub is that which the wheel bolts onto, and what the axle unit (the outer splined and threaded stub axle specifically) slides through and attaches to firmly with the axle nut. The inner driver has a splined stub axle which slips into the differential ring gear assembly. The necessary inner driver shims are to align the differential ring gear with the output shaft pinion gear for optimal alignment and transfer of engine power to the wheels.
