I would double check the driver style changeover date. Our 85 has the new style...same as our 90. I would give Jim at sobstory a call 800-583-0370. He is an expert on identifying the correct driver, much safer than relying on a blind internet order.
If you find a used driver, note that good ones are typically from the driver side. Therefore, you will want to use your current passenger side housing and shims with the replacement driver. If you find one at a yard, the outer cover should not rotate on the driver, indicating a bad seal that can leak unless you epoxy the edge. You should get new orings, too. Your tripod is probably fine unless you lost the needles. The bearing races on the tripods are hardened steel and can be reused.
