My first guess would have been a bad throwout/release bearing, second guess would be a bad pilot bearing, but you just did the clutch.
Perhaps the pilot bearing got whacked when the clutch shaft was inserted. The clutch shaft should be carefully postioned before the pressure plate is bolted down so the shaft doesn't damage the fragile bearing.
I would pull the plastic clutch cover off.
With the engine off pry on the flywheel to make sure the blots aren't loose. Also inspect the pressure bolts and the clutch slave bolts. Sometimes the pressure plate doesn't get fully tightened into position and is hung up on the positioning pin. Snug all the bolts.
The slave also might not be exactly flush with the trans case and is cocked in the hole.
Then have a helper operate the clutch with the engine running while in neutral. Look for a bad throwout bearing or wobble caused by the pilot bearing.
Worst case, you will have to pull the clutch. PITA, but not the end of the world.
