Remember that the cylinders are plastic, and the hoses are clear plastic, probably vinyl. i would be careful with anything that might degrade plastic over time. i have used hydrolic jack oil. mineral oil will work fine. Do NOT overfill the resevoir, about half full is correct. if you overfil you will blow out the oring on the gasket/pump joint. when you're refilling you can leave the plug off while you run the top up and down to bleed the air out. where did the oil go? is it pooled in the passenger rear seat floorpan under the carpet pad...thats the oring on the pump. is it draining out the body drains behind the doors, thats the cylinders. if it is all over under the seat, a hose or connection is weeping.
